Dn. Gabriel Kujur was ordained a priest by Rt. Rev. Joseph Aind sdb, on 15 April 2018 at Margherita Parish during a concelebrated Holy Eucharist. There were about 80 priests concelebrating along with the Bishop.
The function was attended by about 200 Sisters and Brothers. The faithful numbered about 15,000. The entire ceremony was very well organized under the efficient leadership of Fr. Andreas Indwar, the parish priest and Fr. Deonis Dung Dung the Assistant parish priest along with the SCCG Sisters at Margherita. The lay people co-operated with the chief organizer in all stages of planning and implementation under various committees.
The Bishop in his homily during the Mass laid emphasis on priesthood in the Church and the role of the priest as shepherd to the people of God. The priest leaves behind everything of his own and at the time of his priestly ordination pledges to work for the people of God to whom he is sent by his Bishop to serve them and lead them to God.
